Tyrell, of Milverton, shares with us this creative and playful snack.

Using different fruit you can create different animals. It’s fun to create on your plate! A perfect activity at your next kids’ party.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 serving 

Tips

  1. Substitute apple butter or low fat cream cheese for the peanut butter.
  2. Make a fuzzy moose by sprinkling some toasted shredded coconut all over the face.

Ingredients

Whole wheat English muffin

1/2  

Peanut butter

1 Tbsp (15 mL)

Banana

2 slices

Raisins

2

Clementine or small orange

2 segments

Green grape

1 large 

Apple

1 slice 

Pretzel twists

2 large 

Directions

  1. Spread peanut butter on one side of English muffin and place on plate.
  2. Place banana slices near top for eyes and place raisins in centre of banana slices.
  3. Use the clementine slices over the banana slices for eyebrows.
  4. Position the grape for a nose and the apple slice for a mouth.
  5. Place the pretzel twists on top side of English muffin to make antlers.
